Comments
Hausa cóokàlíi sources could be Tuareg (ta-)šokal-t, but also Songhay sokol; cf. Kanuri cókkòl. Derivation from European source (Portuguese cuccharra < Spanish cuchara; cf. Baldi 1997) rather unlikely.
